Lynda Brown - Political Officer

Lynda joined the union and the local Labour Party in 1985 and in that time has been a steward and health and safety steward, senior steward and vice chair of the Humberside Branch.

She has been involved in local politics and is at present Chair of her local constituency and secretary of the ward in which she lives.

She was a local Councillor for 10 years and during this time chaired the Cultural & Libraries committee, Equal Opportunities committee and Highways Advisory Committee and was a member of Education, Personnel and Policy, and Highways and Transportation committees. She was also chief whip of the Labour Group on Hull City Council for 3 years.
