The Branch

North Lincolnshire Branch of UNISON represents approximately 2300 staff working for North Lincolnshire Council, John Leggott and North Lindsey Colleges, Bottesford and Brigg Town Councils and Humberside Airport. We negotiate for better pay and conditions, help individuals in trouble and campaign for a safer, fairer society.

The Branch has number of branch officers elected annually from members of the Branch. These each have responsibility for certain areas of the branch's work. Details of the current officers can be found by following the links on the right hand side of this page. Together with workplace stewards the officers make up the Branch Executive Committee which meets monthly and takes decisions on behalf of the branch other than those which have to be taken at a full branch meeting or by ballot or which can be taken by individual officers. Dates of and reports from meetings of theBranch and of the Executive Committee can be found under Meetings.The Exec. has set up a small Finance and General Purposes Sub-Committee to deal with e.g. requests for donations or afilliations and the Sports and Social Fund is administered by a further committee elected annually at the AGM.

The Branch is supported by two members of the staff based at The Lodge, Central Park, Scunthorpe and has access to support from a full time Regional Officer, shared with several other branches and based in Sheffield
